LEONARDO DA VINCI’S RIVAL

Who was the rival

who dared to change

what was created

by a perfect man

Who dared to invade

the perfect lines

and mark his own

awkward designs

Who dared to alter

the painted images

of one who was

very religious

Who dared to claim

to be his equal

without knowing

the artistic secrets

Who dared to challenge

and ruin his name

It had to be the rival

with no brain

with no name

with no shame
